Edwards is a second-year Osteopathic medical student on the Physician-Scientist Track at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVUCOM) located in Parker, CO. Before enrolling in RVUCOM-CO, he obtained Bachelors’ Degrees in Microbiology and Psychology in 2017 and 2012 respectively from Texas State University.
In addition to serving as a Research Committee Member and National Liaison Officer for the RVUCOM-CO chapter of SOMA, Student Doctor Edwards is actively pursuing timely and important COVID-19 research, focusing on the consequence of delayed care in myocardial infarction/cerebrovascular accident patients.

When notified of his appointment, Student Doctor Edwards shared, “As I am progressing on a Physician-Scientist track of study, I am particularly motivated by the Foundation’s commitment to, and focus on, research and how it is bringing more attention to this discipline through its programs. As a member of SOMA, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as a Student Director for the American Osteopathic Foundation and contribute to the advancement of the Osteopathic profession.”
