All of our scholarships, grants, and awards fall into one of our four award types:

  • Self-apply Awards

  • Request for Proposals (RFPs)

Detailed information about the types as well as navigation of the Foundation's application platform is located in our Online Application User Guide.

There are two awards available to all COMs/SOMs. They are:

One legally recognized spouse of a graduating fourth-year Osteopathic medical student may be honored by each COM/SOM, branch campus, and location.

Nominations are typically accepted Mar-May.

One OMS I, OMS II or OMS III student from each COM/SOM, branch campus, and location who has significant financial constraints, to receive an educational grant to help defray the costs of Osteopathic medical school.

Nominations are typically accepted Mar-Oct.

We recommend that you consider prominently featuring information about the grants and scholarships provided by the American Osteopathic Foundation on your college's website.

By showcasing these opportunities on your platform, you not only celebrate the partnership between our organizations but also demonstrate your commitment to creating an environment where students can thrive academically and professionally.
