Dr. Grove has served on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees since January 2017 and has acted as both Secretary and most recently, President-elect.
Coming from a family of doctors, Dr. Grove's grandfather, father, and uncle were all Osteopathic physicians and family medicine practitioners. Dr. Grove is board certified in family medicine with an added certification in geriatrics. He serves as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Bradenton and as Clinical Professor in Family Medicine at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also serves on the Board of Governors for the NSU Health Professions Division.

Dr. Grove has been the founder and inspiration behind numerous LGBTQ expansion initiatives across the country, including the Foundation’s newly launched LGBTQ+ Equity & Inclusion Fund, which aims to better understand and to address the healthcare needs of the LGBTQ+ community through educational scholarships, CME training, and diversity-enriching programs. He was named a 2019 Notable LGBTQ Executive by Crain's Chicago Business.

Dr. Grove holds an impressive list of professional appointments. He serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors for the Osteopathic profession’s National Osteopathic Political Action Committee and was part of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Council on Continuing Medical Education for more than a decade, serving as chairman for most of these years.
Active in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), Dr. Grove was the youngest member up to that time to ever be elected to the National ACOFP Board of Governors being elected in March 2004. He was inaugurated as the 60th President in March 2013, and in 2016 he was awarded the Marcelino Oliva, Excellence in Advocacy Award. Dr. Grove received his “Fellow Award” from the ACOFP in 2002 and he received his "Distinguished Fellow Award” in 2013. And in 2020, Dr. Grove was honored with the title of "Physician of the Year”. In his home state, Dr. Grove also held the presidency of the Florida Society of ACOFP in 2001-2002 and was President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association in 2011-2012.
In 2012 Dr. Grove joined WitzEnd Productions, LLC a theater production company, as a managing partner and in 2018 he won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical for co-producing “Once on This Island.” WitzEnd Productions is currently co-producing Diana: A New Musical, based on the life of Princess Diana – which is slated to open at the Longacre Theater on Broadway in late spring 2021.
Dr. Grove is a graduate of Florida Southern College and earned his Osteopathic degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (SECOM) in 1990. He served both his internship and residency at the Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, and then joined Suncoast Family Medical Associates, where he currently practices, in addition to his role as president and CEO of Paxton Medical Management, a physician-led organization providing expert healthcare through an integrated system of tools and services connecting physicians and patients.
