The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) announced that Tom Wallace, Senior Director for Global Corporate Affairs at Eli Lilly and Company, will join its Board of Directors.

A seasoned health care executive with three decades of professional experience around medicine, Mr. Wallace brings years of experience implementing strategies that build partnerships with stakeholders to the AOF’s leadership. “It is humbling and inspiring to serve on the AOF Board, and I hope to bring what experience and perspective I have and add to AOF's meaningful work and long history of making a difference for the professional community and patients,” Mr. Wallace stated.

Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Wallace has served public and private organizations, including Boards of The National Health Council, and Cancer Support Community, and leadership roles at the Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers of America. He graduated cum laude from Butler University and earned his Masters of Public Affairs degree from Indiana University.

“Few people demonstrate the same dedication to improving the lives of patients as Mr. Wallace,” said Stephen Downey, CAE, CFRE, AOF Executive Director. “His personal passion and professional focus on diverse and global communities will greatly advance the AOF’s philanthropic outreach and mission work.”

Mr. Wallace joined Eli Lilly and Company in 1989, advancing to the Director of U.S. Advocacy & Professional Relations before ascending to his current role. Under his leadership, Lilly has been recognized by many health organizations and was the first pharmaceutical company to be honored by the National Urban League and given its corporate recognition award. Previously, he worked for the state of Indiana as Assistant Director for its Washington D.C. Office.
