The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) is pleased to announce the election of Krissy Eisenhardt to its Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Ms. Eisenhardt brings nearly three decades of leadership experience across the private sector, association management, and nonprofit service. As the daughter-in-law of two Osteopathic Physicians, she has long understood the commitment and sacrifices required to pursue a career in medicine and has been a dedicated advocate for the Osteopathic Profession ever since.
Ms. Eisenhardt is completing her term as Immediate Past President of the Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA), one of AOF’s longest-standing collaborative partners. For more than three decades, AOF and the AAOA have worked together to support Osteopathic Students, Residents, and Physicians through awareness, education, and industry recognition. Under her leadership, the AAOA expanded its partnerships across the profession and strengthened pathways for students and residents to engage as advocates. She is also finishing her term as the Immediate Past President of the Advocates for the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Association (APOMA), where she led the state advocates for Osteopathic Medicine and established scholarships for the Presidents of SOMA and COSGP at the Pennsylvania Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine.
During her tenure, Ms. Eisenhardt also helped shepherd a collaborative initiative with AOF and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Education (NBOME) to completion, resulting in a new co-branded grant designed to help ease financial barriers arising from medical exams.
“Serving on the AOF Board allows me to continue supporting students and physicians who give so much of themselves in service to others,” said Ms. Eisenhardt. “I am honored to help advance a mission that invests in the future of Osteopathic Medicine and look forward to using my fundraising expertise will help further their Hope, Healing and Health Campaign.”
“Krissy has been a trusted partner to the Foundation for many years,” said Rita Forden, CEO of the American Osteopathic Foundation. “Her leadership within the AAOA, her deep respect for the profession, and her collaborative spirit make her a valuable addition to the AOF Board.”
