
The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) is pleased to announce the election of Julieanne P. Sees, DO, MBA, DM, FAOAO, FAOA, FAAOS as the President of the Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026.
Dr. Sees has served on the Board since 2019 and brings decades of professional and leadership experience to the role. She is a pediatric neuro-orthopaedic surgeon-scientist with dual fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and neuro-orthopaedic surgery and has focused expertise in care for children and young adults with neuromuscular conditions, chronic brain disease and neuro-orthopaedic disorders.
Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in orthopaedic surgery with osteopathic recognition, Dr. Sees serves as Physician Executive/Medical Director for CVS Health Medical Health Services, the AOA Leadership Academy, and the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine providing expertise engagement in Medical Affairs Mentorship, Professional Business and Leadership Development, and Action Collaboratives on Clinician Well-Being and Resilience.

She is truly amazing. We are thrilled for her leadership!”
Dr. Sees has authored over 85 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has made over 285 national and international conference presentations and instructional courses. Her scientific and health-care advocacy research includes best practices within physician professional development, neuro-orthopaedics and neuroscience disorders, complex motor conditions and gait abnormalities, pediatric subspecialty care, clinician well-being, and emerging leadership in health, education, and medicine. Her commitment to scholarly excellence has earned her multiple awards, including, recipient of Emerging Leader of both the AOF and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association, the J. Richard Bowen MD Teaching Award, two U.S. Patents with Pfizer Global Research and Development, the prestigious designation as Fellow of both the American Orthopedic Association and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, and an AOA Mentor of the Year.
Dr. Sees obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry/Religious Studies as a Division I scholarly athlete from the College of the Holy Cross, her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed orthopaedic residency at the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine, and earned her Healthcare Executive Masters of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University Haub School of Business. She was invested into the Order of Malta, Class of 2025 as a Dame from the NJ Area.
