Ms. McDonald is currently a cardiac catheterization lab nurse at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She has been a stalwart advocate for Osteopathic medicine for over twenty years and has held leadership volunteer positions within the profession, including the Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA) and the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association (TOMA). She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Christus Marshall Hospital Foundation.
A military veteran, Ms. McDonald held the rank of Captain in the US Air Force where she served as Lead Charge Nurse at a 48-bed Cardio-Thoracic/Vascular step-down unit. While there, she assisted in developing a nursing preceptor program, then actively participated in rounds with medical personnel to facilitate improvements in patient-centered care.

She’s one of the most dynamic people I know and I’m confident her warmth, sincerity, compassion and fundraising ability will help AOF inspire more like-minded donors to advance our mission.”
When notified of the appointment, Ms. McDonald shared, “it is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I accept the invitation to join the American Osteopathic Foundation’s Board. I have admired AOF for many years and will work ardently to fulfill the mission of this organization. It is truly an honor to be called upon to serve the Osteopathic profession in this way.”
