The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) is pleased to announce the election of Michelle Winn Larson, CAE, CMP, to the AOF Board of Directors for a three-year term. Michelle, a leader with over 27 years of experience in association management, event planning, and logistics, brings critical skills and ties to a broad network within the Osteopathic community to her new role. 

“I am looking forward to working with the Foundation to extend its visibility and reach with the State Associations and Colleges,” says Michelle. “I am particularly impressed with the AOF’s Gala and its work in recognizing and highlighting Osteopathic students, residents, and physicians at the national level.”

Currently, Michelle is the Associate Executive Director of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), where she has served since 1996. She has played a key role in facilitating various campaigns and partnerships at both the state and national levels. In addition, she currently serves as President of the Association of Osteopathic State Executive Directors (AOSED). In this role, she works to advance the Osteopathic profession by supporting state societies and fostering collaboration with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and specialty organizations.

Throughout her career, Michelle has been recognized for her dedication to the Osteopathic profession. In 2009, she was honored with the FOMA Distinguished Service Award, for outstanding service and commitment to Osteopathic medicine. She was also a recipient of the 2022 AOA Presidential Citation for her contributions to medical education and the Osteopathic community.

Beyond her work with FOMA, she has held leadership roles with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives (TSAE), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and she has been a member of the Nova Southeastern University – Kiran Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean’s Advisory Council since 2011.

She is a passionate advocate, and she will help support the Foundation – and the profession – to grow and advance.”
