The Advocates for the AOA (AAOA), in collaboration with the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF), proudly continues its commitment to supporting medical students and residents during the holiday season through its Holiday Hug Grants.
This year's recipients are Jessica Bennett, an OMS-III at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Madeleine Karpiuk, an OMS-II at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine.
“Expenses relating to residency programs or medical school can be particularly challenging around year-end Holidays,” said Megan Maples, AAOA President. “Jessica and Madeleine’s dedication to their studies and commitment to the field of Osteopathic Medicine made them excellent choices for this year's Holiday Hugs grant.”
"We are pleased to continue the tradition of the Holiday Hug Grant, which was created in 2020 through the collaborative efforts of the Advocates for the AOA and the American Osteopathic Foundation,” added Rita Forden, AOF CEO. “We share in the commitment of supporting the Osteopathic medical community, fostering a spirit of compassion, and extending a warm ‘Holiday Hug’ to those in need.”
