Grants & Programs
Purpose
The Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA), in partnership with the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF), will launch a COMLEX USA grant program in 2026. The goal is to help medical students pay for the cost of exam fees associated with the COMLEX USA Level 2-CE Exam, which is traditionally taken during the summer between a student’s third and fourth years in Osteopathic medical school. Expenses relating to study materials and exam fees are often cost prohibitive, especially for those who have a family to support. Recognizing this, the AAOA has created a project specific fund, managed by the AOF, to help address this issue.
Award
Up to two (2) grants will be given annually to cover costs associated with COMLEX USA Level 2-CE exam fees. AOF will pay NBOME directly to secure two slots annually for one (1) COMLEX USA Level 2-CE Exam registration on behalf of each grantee.

- Osteopathic medical student who will be taking the COMLEX USA Level 2-CE Exam
- Spouse of an Osteopathic medical student who will be taking the COMLEX USA Level 2-CE Exam
- Preference for applicants who demonstrate needs aligned with AAOA’s mission.
