CHICAGO – The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) are proud to partner in providing aid to William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCUCOM) after a devastating tornado ripped through Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
A tornado hit the William Carey University campus in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, early Saturday morning, January 21st. Thankfully all students are safe, but 90 percent of buildings are damaged and many are destroyed, according to James Turner, DO, Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The AOF, AOA and AACOM and are prepared to provide any assistance to William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCUCOM) administrators, faculty and students as we can to continue the continuity of education for our students.
To begin providing immediate assistance, the AOF has set up the WCUCOM Tornado Recovery Fund. Donations made to this fund will go in direct support of students, administration and faculty in need.
